Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Mloupe AI (the “Service”), operated by Imbata Systems (“we”, “us”, “our”), available at https://mloupe.com.
By creating an account, signing in, purchasing credits, or submitting a manuscript, you agree to these Terms on behalf of your institution or organization.
1. Who may use the Service
The Service is intended for universities, research institutions, journals, publishing houses, and their authorized staff (“Institutions”).
You represent that you have authority to bind the Institution you register for, and that account credentials will be used only by authorized persons.
2. The Service
Mloupe AI analyzes uploaded manuscripts and returns an annotated file with diagnostic comments. Analysis depth depends on the plan or credit type you purchase (for example text-only Standard analysis, or Advanced analysis that also covers figures and images).
A limited free trial (one text document) may be offered after email verification, subject to change.
- We do not alter the original wording of your manuscript; annotations are additive.
- We do not replace human academic judgment, grading, or editorial acceptance decisions.
- Output quality depends on document quality, format, and inherent limits of AI systems.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate registration information and keep login credentials confidential.
You are responsible for activity under your Institution account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or pose a security risk.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, overload, or disrupt the Service.
- Use the Service to generate content for ghostwriting or to misrepresent AI output as human peer review.
- Resell access without our written agreement, except under a Partner arrangement we approve.
5. Fees and credits
Paid usage is typically prepaid (for example Standard text credit and Advanced image-inclusive credit) or under a custom Partner agreement.
Prices displayed on the site may change; the amount confirmed at purchase or in a written Partner quote controls.
Credits are applied when a manuscript is submitted for review, according to our billing rules.
6. Intellectual property
You retain all rights in manuscripts you upload. You grant us a limited license to process, store, and annotate files solely to provide the Service.
Mloupe AI software, branding, and documentation remain our property or that of our licensors.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
AI comments are suggestions only. You remain solely responsible for manuscript quality, academic integrity, and decisions made after using the Service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Imbata Systems and its suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or academic outcomes arising from use of the Service.
Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us for the credits or plan giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practicable. You may stop using the Service at any time.
10. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Imbata Systems’ operations in Rwanda, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
